CLIENT OBJECTIVE

Brembo North America wanted an inviting space for their North American Innovation Center in California to collaborate with the technology industry in the region. It was important that the environment would be able to be used as a hybrid workspace for their sales team as well as host industry events and social activities. The space was to reflect their Italian brand and as bring the environment into the space with natural materials, plants and natural light. The budget was modest as there was yet a team to support the space.

PD SOLUTION

The plan was laid out to have the offices and private spaces be more internal as this took advantage of the large windows and natural light. The spaces also are open to and flow into one another to create flexibility in hosting larger industry events. The ceilings were left exposed and the majority of the space was painted out a bright white with minimal pops of primary color to reflect their Italian brand. To incorporate some of local California style, we incorporated natural wood and a moss wall to bring nature into the space. The suite was a renovation of an existing tenant and we had hoped to polish the concrete. However, there was too much damage to the slab to expose the floor without a huge cost to the project. Brembo ended up selecting a large format vinyl flooring that looked similar to the concrete. For furniture, Brembo purchased from PartnrHaus In Birmingham, Michigan.
